It really is funny how much of the "#Skeptical" community turned out to be *phobe, and really only ever at the party because the Americans tended to let Libertarians in, and there was the glimmer of a chance to run the "community member to community-exploitation content producer" game path.

The podcasters who tried to become TV or radio people, the bloggers who were always angling for a book deal...

My friend was living in DC on 9/11 and definitely caught the war fever that swept the nation 🇺🇸 ; I was more circumspect, felt it was a matter for the FBI. I was #skeptical and #antiwar from the very start, opposing even the Afghanistan operation that many of my friends who are fellow Democrats now SUPPORTED back then.
