The #Mediterranean looks calm until the rocks start arguing with the waves.
These frames move between open water, cut cliffs, broken stone, and quiet sand along the #Israel coast.
I liked the contrast here: harsh edges, soft surf, and light that keeps changing its mind.

A lot of this walk is alongside old sea cliffs and features of raised beaches. In places the path is below the cliffs, at others it is above.
First part of the walk is over yellow and red sandstones (possibly old red sandstone) then carboniferous volcanics nearer to St Andrews.

Approaching #Ynysmon, and a lighthouse is visible in the distance in the 2nd picture, with some interesting exposed cliffs rearing up from the sea. The first picture of the Snowdon range covered in snow takes me back to my first ever serious winter walk as a student, the complete Snowdon / Eryri horseshoe, with no crampons or ice axe at the time, and leather boots which froze up. To say I was a little bit concerned about falling to my death on Crib Goch would be an understatement, but the pseudo-invincibility of youth held the day.
