Ended Monday and welcomed Tuesday after a swim with Jardin Au Fou, the second solo album by German keyboardist Hans-Joachim Roedelius, best known for his work with Cluster. The title is French for "Madman's Garden".

Mike Ezzo, who reviewed the album for Groove Unlimited, writes, in part:

"...'Jardin au Fou' was where he cemented that particularly light-hearted and wistful Roedelius sound. Not a garden of madness, rather a garden of whimsy and odd delight, it is simple melodious keyboard music whose character is imbued with unexpected chord progressions that don't resolve in traditional ways, a naive rhythmic sense, and melodic lines that go where you least expect. One gets the feeling that Roedelius had envisioned the scenery of a park on a Sunday afternoon in Paris, or some kind of music from a traveling circus show, when the inspiration for this recording struck him." - Wikipedia

Ended Wednesday and welcomed Thursday after a swim with Cluster & Eno a collaborative album by German electronic music group Cluster and English ambient musician Brian Eno. The style of this album is a collection of gentle melodies: a mixture of Eno's ambient sensibilities and Cluster's avant-garde style.

In June 1977, the duo of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius joined with Brian Eno for recording sessions at Conny Plank's studio. The first release from those sessions on Sky Records was Cluster & Eno. Guest musicians on the album included Can bassist Holger Czukay and Asmus Tietchens on synthesizer. The association with Eno, already well known for involvement with pop acts like Roxy Music, brought Cluster a much wider audience than previous albums and international attention. - Wikipedia

Welcomed sleep and greeted Sunday with Drauf Und Dran by Hans-Joachim Roedelius, released in 2020 on Gronland

Roedelius ... explains Drauf Und Dran: "The tracks released on this album originate from various creative periods of my career...the piano; it, or rather its expressive possibilities, is now my main interest. Drauf Und Dran is meant as a milestone and a guidepost, as a kind of musical peephole through the 'iron' curtain of what is familiar, perfected and conventional in music and into a sound universe that has officially only yet been explored cursorily. Varying piano string vibrations create interferences, overtones and undertones in the fading reverberation of pointedly accentuated." - Gronland.

After the Heat is a 1978 album by Brian Eno, Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius (the latter two being the core members of Cluster), credited to "Eno Moebius Roedelius".

The track "Tzima N'Arki" contains a reversed vocal track, part of which includes the chorus of Eno's song "King's Lead Hat" (from his album Before and After Science), itself an anagram of "Talking Heads", whose recordings Eno was producing during that period. "Broken Head" makes prominent use of tape flanging on Eno's declaimed vocal.

Comparing the album to the musicians' previous collaboration Cluster & Eno (1977), Pitchfork wrote in their favourable retrospective review: "A few piano-centered instrumentals hint at the sound of the earlier record, but After The Heat exists in a fantastic sphere of its own."
