Välillä jotain muutakin musamehustelua; nyt on nimittäin vihdoinkin korjattu yksi oman levyhyllyn riipaisevimmista rikkeistä, eli hankittu se oleellisin, puuttuva Can-levy hyllyyn. Damon aikaisistahan tämä on kenties se vähiten hyvä, mutta kun Tago Mago on kuitenkin yksi parhaimpia levyjä ikinä, niin hankalapa siitä on enää juuri parantaakaan.

An excellent chapter from the book of Berlin-School electronics.

The third Schroeder album (produced by Klaus Schulze), it utilizes the brand-new-at-the-time PPG WAVE 2, a German built #synthesizer that gained such notoriety, that literally everybody started using them. It is an endless list of who’s who when it comes to early #80s synth music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Tangerine Dream and David Bowie to name just a few).

Here, Schroeder blends the PPG with guitar, bass and drum flawlessly. The album sounds incredible, and creates quite the atmosphere.

I’ve mentioned on here before about my penchant for records that are great for playing whilst pursuing other creative endeavours like drawing, painting, etc, and this one fits that bill perfectly.
