2 important questions at this time of year round here:
1. Are the red currants ripe in time to make the tart I like for Christmas Day?
2. Will I succeed in keeping the birds away from them?
Happily this year the answer to both questions is yes! I also picked the first black currants of the season 😍
Tomorrow I will be among the hordes making Christmas desserts 😆 Picked the currants today because the weather forecast is dodgy.
I picked a few of these beauties this morning - the first of the season 😍
Birds love them, so I was worried they might break into the netting and claim them - it’s happened here before!
