Form is important but function reigns
Free is great, will accept paid if direct to dev payment is available
Must play nice with locked down Graphene
Separate apps that address different fedi functions are fine, even expected
Extra points if it gives a similar experience to the iOS app @IceCubesApp

Is there some app to organize "one off" book clubs?

I want to read this philosophy book but don't want to do it alone, would be nice to meet people in the city that are also interested.

Our ancient printer finally died, so we’re in the market for a replacement home-use inkjet. I am overwhelmed by the choices. Would anyone like to help narrow it down with a brand & model recommendation?

We mostly print plain documents, but we do print flyers, photos etc relatively frequently too. Fairly low volume with occasional peaks.

Duplex printing necessary, scanning function necessary, but A3 printing and duplex scanning just nice to have. VERY nice to have, depending on price, would be edgeless/minimal margin printing.

Am in Australia. Not wedded to brand; did have a HP but not particularly impressed with their current business practices.

As part of moving the organising of our side off Facebook we want to set up an email list that goes to all our members, and that members of the list can send to, with minima admin and minimal cost.

Groups.io has been mentioned. Any other thoughts/recommendations/advice on the options from people who know about these things would be gratefully received so I can report back and we can decide how to proceed.

Re previous boost: ARRRGGGHH. I use Zoom for organising readthroughs with friends. None of us are going to want to have anything to do with that bullshit. This is frustrating.

Would also like to know about good alternatives, in this case for calls for generally around 6-20 people, ideally with a similar text-based chat on the side (and bonus if auto-generated subtitles!).
