In 2016, I visited #The #Gum #Wall in #Seattle; a wall covered in used chewing gum under #PikePlaceMarket. This #tourist #attraction & local #landmark is divisive: it's participatory #conceptual #art for some and “a pile of rubbish” for others. In 2015, the 2350 pounds of gum were steam-cleaned to prevent the degradation of the brick but people soon added more gum.
