Ever wondered how biologists reach eagles' nests to get telemetry units on the nestlings? It helps to have a utility bucket truck and a wildlife biologist who is also a tree-climbing expert. This May, CSG and the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks placed telemetry units on an additional 15 bald eagle nestlings, who will add to our growing trove of data about how these birds are using the landscape across the state and beyond. #BaldEagles #RaptorResearch https://www.ksnt.com/.../watch-bald-eagle-chicks-banded.../

To expand a lil bit about my job in research it involves climbing trees to access big eagle nests to install trail cams to study behaviors, diets, chick development, you name it! Here are a couple of pics from a Harpy Eagle and a Black-and-chestnut Eagle nests in Colombia!
