My talk about #PegaProx for #Proxmox VE based clusters at the @[email protected] conference has been accepted!

I'm happy to share some more insights about the project, development stages, integration of the ProxTools collection (like #ProxLB, #ProxPatch, #ProxSnap,...) and more! We'll end up in a live demo of PegaProx, orchestrating several Proxmox clusters, XCP-ng based ones and maybe I'll have already finished another great thing until that date 🙂

#FrOSCon is all about Free Software and Open Source and takes place soon - with @[email protected] GmbH and hopefully me 😅

Every year in late summer, FrOSCon brings together people who are passionate about Free Software and Open Source. The event is organized by the Department of Computer Science at Bonn Rhein Sieg University together with the FrOSCon e.V. and offers many interesting talks, workshops, project booths, and opportunities to connect with others from the community.

What I really like about FrOSCon is the atmosphere. Developers, companies, contributors, and open source enthusiasts come together to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and simply have a good time. The social event on Saturday evening is also always a great opportunity for networking and interesting conversations.

I am very proud that we as #credativ will be part of FrOSCon this year as a stand partner. It is a great chance for us to present our open source-projects (like #ProxLB, #ProxPatch, #ProxSnap, [...] but also all the other ones like #Plutono/#Vali and the credativ-pg-migrator for #PostgreSQL) and meet so many people from the community in person again.

At the moment I am unfortunately still unsure if I can attend personally, because I would also love to prepare a talk about #PegaProx for #Proxmox VE based clusters and share the story behind it, the progress over time, and some of the challenges and experiences along the way.

Last week I had several meetings with customers where I also showcased the #PegaProx project for #Proxmox.

The feedback was honestly amazing. Many were impressed by how PegaProx brings essential enterprise grade features to Proxmox clusters that are still missing today. We can clearly see the gaps that were fixed by #ProxLB, #ProxSnap, #ProxCLMC, #ProxPatch and many other ones! Keep in mind, PegaProx is free and fully #opensource!

That said, we know there's always room for improvement. Whether it is major enhancements or small quality of life tweaks, every detail matters. Over the weekend, I took your feedback from the calls seriously and integrated a number of improvements to make PegaProx even more intuitive and powerful.

PS: Pegaprox also support #XCP (#XCPng) ans corss-cluster / cross-hypervisor migrations. So, you can quickly jump over to XCP 🙂

#ProxPatch for #Proxmox VE Clusters!

Automate the most repetitive operational task in Proxmox: keeping cluster nodes updated! ProxPatch drains, migrates, patches, and reboots nodes in a controlled rolling fashion — no downtime, no manual intervention.

ProxPatch is written in Rust and fully #opensource.
