My talk about #PegaProx for #Proxmox VE based clusters at the @[email protected] conference has been accepted!

I'm happy to share some more insights about the project, development stages, integration of the ProxTools collection (like #ProxLB, #ProxPatch, #ProxSnap,...) and more! We'll end up in a live demo of PegaProx, orchestrating several Proxmox clusters, XCP-ng based ones and maybe I'll have already finished another great thing until that date 🙂

Давайте немного поностальгируем. Помните, каких-то 20 лет назад мы еще покупали музыку альбомами и на дисках, в каждом компе стоял пишущий DVD-привод, а фирмам-дистрибьюторам музыки казалось, что самая большая их проблема в будущем - это пиратство. Герой этой статьи, Sony BMG, испытывала к пиратам такую личную неприязнь, что кушать не могла решила встроить защиту от пиратства на свои диски, причем защита была настолько капитальной, что формально являлась чистым руткитом, безальтернативно устанавливаемым всем PC-пользователям. Надо ли говорить, что как только о рутките стало известно, им воспользовались все, кто мог, кроме самой Sony.

Last week I had several meetings with customers where I also showcased the #PegaProx project for #Proxmox.

The feedback was honestly amazing. Many were impressed by how PegaProx brings essential enterprise grade features to Proxmox clusters that are still missing today. We can clearly see the gaps that were fixed by #ProxLB, #ProxSnap, #ProxCLMC, #ProxPatch and many other ones! Keep in mind, PegaProx is free and fully #opensource!

That said, we know there's always room for improvement. Whether it is major enhancements or small quality of life tweaks, every detail matters. Over the weekend, I took your feedback from the calls seriously and integrated a number of improvements to make PegaProx even more intuitive and powerful.

Your input drives this project forward. If you feel something is missing or could be improved, let us know!

PS: Pegaprox also support #XCP (#XCPng) ans corss-cluster / cross-hypervisor migrations. So, you can quickly jump over to XCP 🙂

#PegaProx for#Proxmox only? Nah, now you can also manage #XCPng!

XCP-ng support is still in tech preview but alread comes with:

XCP-ng Pool Support — Connect XCP-ng / Xen hypervisor pools alongside Proxmox clusters

VM Power Actions — Start, stop, shutdown, reboot, suspend/resume for XCP-ng VMs

VNC Console — Remote console access via XAPI RFB

Disk Management — Add, resize, remove, move virtual disks on XCP-ng VMs

Network Management — Add, update, remove virtual network interfaces

CD-ROM — Mount/unmount ISOs from XCP-ng storage repositories

Node Details & Maintenance — View node info, enter/exit maintenance mode with VM evacuation

Storage Uploads — Upload ISOs and templates to XCP-ng storage
