His own turf is the gold-cladded "seconde-empire-style" oval office where he forces his guests - in most cases even (soon-to-be former) allies of the U.S. - to take place whilst he discusses domestic policy issues with the press in front of them!

This one did not take place there. It took place on a military base, something #privatebonespurs is entirely unfamiliar with.
