Hi @andypiper,
indeed. #Magic is #paternalist at best and often outright #authoritarian. It has a fundamental imbalance between the magician and the audience/subjects.
But magic gave way to science during the enlightenment. The subjects emancipated. Some. #Feudalism turned into civil societies. We don't need to fall behind that. We wouldn't have to repeat that history.
So goodbye platforms, hello networks. Of independant, cooperating peers. Or is it indiependant? Whatever. You get it: the #fediverse.
And front and foremost: keep it simple and friendly.
