So an RSS feed company can say “We support these Podcast Standard namespaces/features”.
I like the idea of using the hashtag #podcaststandards. I think it’s better than #Podcasting2.0 or #Podcasting20 for hashtag purposes, and conveys what we’re actually doing here.
@theDanielJLewis @dave @StevenB @jamescridland I was in the habit of saying “Podcasting 2.0 features” and “we’re making new features possible in podcast apps”.
Namespace is a meaningless term to non-technical people, but everyone knows what a feature is.
I also was thinking of saying “podcast standards” or #podcaststandards more than THE Podcast Standard. One points people to a general value of standards, the other is an entity/authority on a particular set of standards.
