Enhorabuena a @joanboluda por su nueva plataforma. Un ejemplo de como acercar el Podcasting a todo el mundo y a la vez hacer uso de las nuevas posibilidades que nos da el Podcasting 2.0, como:
- Señalar la localización desde la que se graba o de la que trata el Podcast/episodio
- Recomendaciones de otros podcast (podroll)
- Identificar al podcaster con nombre, imagen, URL y función (person)
- Especificar la licencia de publicación (license)
- Actualizaciones inmediatas de episodios (podping)
- Estadísticas fiables con #OP3
- Identificación de contenido [no] generado por IA (txt ai-content)
- Facilitar un enlace para apoyar el podcast (funding)
- ...

Truefans.fm Hosting

Loving the hosting options that @[email protected] brings to #Podcasting.

The idea of streams vs downloads and only paying for the amount of data that you use is really a neat concept.

For example, if you have a small podcast, after 3 months you might only have to pay a few bucks for hosting and when show grows, the hosting grows with you.

I don’t think any other platform does this.

A new type of hosting

I recently moved my hosting to TrueFans.fm hosting. @[email protected] is the CEO of TrueFans and a good buddy of mine. So I thought I'd give it a go.

What's unique about TrueFans.fm's hosting is that is based on bandwidth/streams not downloads.

And it's variable pricing. So if you have a small show you only pay for the data you use. It's quite brilliant if you ask me.

What's even better is that it's fully Podcasting 2.0 enabled. So all the cool tags that come with Podcasting 2.0.

Thanks to @pfefferle I think [1] we now have support for 2 podcast WP plugins integrated into the Fediverse (out of 3 that supports #podcasting20 [2]):

- Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin @podlove
- Seriously Simple Podcasting #SeriouslySimplePodcasting

This is not #PI_SocialInteract tag but it could help the WP plugins adopt it.

May be the next one would it be PowerPress by Blubrry (the only one supporting the SocialInterag tag)
