Pixels de suivi : la CNIL lance une consultation publique sur son projet de recommandation

Qu’est-ce qu’un pixel de suivi ? Les pixels de suivi (tracking pixel en anglais) sont une méthode de traçage alternative aux traceurs/cookies. Ils prennent la forme d’une image de 1 pixel par 1 pixel, intégrée dans un site web ou un courriel, mais invisible pour l’utilisateur. Le chargement de cette image, dont le nom contient un identifiant de l’utilisateur, permet de savoir que l’utilisateur tracé a visité une page ou lu un courriel.

C'est quoi la bonne réponse aux organisations (une fondation américaine et une association française, en l'occurrence) qui envoient un mail demandant de confirmer qu'on veut toujours recevoir leur newsletter parce qu'elle voient qu'on n'ouvre plus leurs mails ?
D'un côté, c'est réconfortant de voir que leur système d'espionnage d'ouverture de courriel ne fonctionne pas bien, mais de l'autre c'est inquiétant qu'elles assument sans honte de fliquer leurs soutiens.

@Tutanota Detection, display and blocking of pixel tracker (web beacon) in Tuta app and email client in browser by default will be helpful. These mass surveillance tools in the name of read receipts or open counts are very common in corporate emails here in the US.
