Three operatives. A compound on a coast. A world that runs on tradecraft, patience, and the things people leave behind when they think no one is watching.

Basil drives a diesel Mercedes through burning cities for a living. Isadora rigs traps with the precision of a composer and the temperament of a card sharp. Bernard grows mushrooms on the exurban fringe and knows exactly what everything costs.

The series spans twelve years — from a corner booth in 2015 to the last ice on the cliff path in 2027. Ten stories. One compound. A memory palace the reader builds without being told they're building it.

The Northern Lighthouse Board had an open day in Oban this past weekend with a rare opportunity to go aboard their large ship, NLV Pharos, here's a view looking down on the helicopter deck.

The replacement for its smaller sister ship, Polestar, is due for delivery within a few weeks and hopes are that they will have an open day for that as well.
