I have been very silent the last month. That's because of health reasons and this will follow me at least until next spring (and that's just an estimated best case scenario).
Because of this I have lost most of my drive to draw, paint minis or write.
But maybe it'll come back.

At the eye dr yesterday I learned I have a cataract in my left eye. The way she said it, it was like "no big deal." "That's probably part of why you're seeing a reflection of letters," she said. "Will it get bigger?" I said. "Yes, but slowly," she said.
A freaking CATARACT? I'm 54. I thought that was an old people thing. (I know it's not, but still!) She said it's possible it's because I take prednisone pretty regularly. Blergh.
AND! When I come here it's like a vacation. My mom cooks, my dad cleans, I get more work done (this is a joy for me) than I ever do at home. (I'd help out more than the little I do, but they don't want me to!)
Anyway, I'm so happy to be here and also I'm grieving. BOTH AND ughhh! :-)
On a bit of an impulse (that is, without much planning ahead) I drove down to Boston to visit with my parents. There's only so much I can tell on the phone about how they're doing as the (SWEAR SWEAR SWEAR) aging process progresses. I need to take the temperature in person.
