#Lowmoor #meadows are mostly characterized by a high nitrogen supply, a high #groundwater level, the presence of #peatlayers, and, in case of #nutrientrich ones, also by high #biodiversity. The low moor meadows along #TegelerFließ near Lake Köppchensee in #Berlin were located in the border region during the #GDR era and partly inaccessible, providing good protection.
