Michael MecklerTraveled to an orchard market a week or so ago to buy fresh, locally grown peaches. I can't remember the name of the variety, but they are white-fleshed and freestone. And they are delicious, both fresh and in peach pie (which I am having for breakfast this morning).
Waiting on the #peachPie to cool for a while. Just as well as we had a nice filling steak, polenta and broccoli supper anyway.
Went the extra mile on making it a pretty pie for @skatem's burfday. And a proper lattice rather than foregoing the under/over effort for a gridwork, 'cuz she's worth it.
