It is fucking 2026 and I can name the first variable in a sequence "e1" if I want. Not "e0" despite a lifetime of being tied to the first ordinal being zero and not one.
I wonder how many new coders (are there still any in this AI dystopia?) even bother with a nod to the historical zero starting point. How many have actually seen zero, in a line of all-black LEDs, and know how important that once was as a baseline.

@railmaps these videos irk me more for their production than their content. It’s like they’re trying way too hard to make them relatable. I don’t care that the metro tunnel rep is “more of a bugs guy”. Also the script is always “I’d like to take you through…” and “I’d like to show you…”.

I am so sick of music services, being Apple Music, Spotify or others, removing albums or whole catalogues of music whilly-nilly when they feel like it.
I think I'll just set up a #MP3 / #OGG library again and keep my music "stable"
Was listening to a song on "Around the fur" by Deftones less than a week ago and now it's no longer in Apple Music..
Or maybe hire enough staff and pay them well enough to care. I haven’t purposely shoplifted, but I’m sure I’ve missed a few things at self checkout lines and not cared. I imagine that a lot of other people have and end up making it habitual.
