Anyone else noticed audio on #RadioCaroline 648 kHz MF is slightly quieter and has less bass than previously?
I've found this both in the car and using standalone receivers and its been like that both from the studio based broadcasts and this weekend from #RossRevenge - maybe they've changed the #soundprocessing, a piece of equipment has failed somewhere or the RF power has been turned down to save electricity?

Those of you who of a certain age who grew up in #Britain will understand why this is something I've wanted to do for near 40 years, but never got a chance when I was younger (the school tended to keep these Coombers locked down) - and it just happened that #RadioCaroline were playing this track today 😁

Following the raid on the radioship Ross Revenge by the OCD and other Dutch authorities in August 1989, all seized items were stored at Domeinen Roerende Zaken in Bleiswijk which is near Rotterdam. Years later, negotiations took place involving Peter Moore from Caroline, Martin Raumer from the OCD, who commanded the raid, and mediator Herbert Visser. By 1992, these discussions led to the return of the confiscated items to the Caroline organization, on the condition that they would not pursue further legal action against the Dutch government. Regarding the transportation of the equipment back to Dover, where the Ross Revenge was moored at the time, a truck was rented at SMC's expense. This cost was covered by the Media Communications Foundation using proceeds from sales, which included the CD "The Legend Still Lives On."

#RadioCaroline is now back on 4kW and broadcasting #RadioCarolineNorth from the #RossRevenge (they have an extra day of broadcasting due to the fundraiser) - the #crystalradio (now using a 220 uH inductor and 165 pF variable capacitor at around 78 pF for best tuning) receives the signal good and strong with quite decent volume to the PC line in (this video is taken using the mobile phone microphone, there is 0 amplification or soundprocessing)
