I really hate that these days when you just mindlessly strg+c and strg+v into somewhere else it'll link the contentent (e.g. Pictures) instead of copying them.

Just opened an old E-Mail that I hazily wrote using the #posteo webmailer and some of the pictures are no longer available because they linked to mastodon posts (unintentionally).

/me Note to self: Always screenshot stuff. Forget that "strg+c" and "right-click => copy-image" even exist.

note to self run "nohup nixos-rebuild switch" instead of just "nixos-rebuild switch". When it restarts the GUI it'll kill itself and leave you with a half-started system :P

And running it a 2nd time failed because of some dbus connectivity issue...

Workaround "systemctl stop user.slice" (or reboot) and then rerun it (both from tty1)

Note to self, when building a (home lab) rack with generic rails instead of the ones the components originally shipped with, account for leaving exactly one gap hole between each of the components.

A 1-2mm rail does not fit in between 2HE servers/disk-arrays that are exactly 2HE. Especially not when you try to replicate this 3-4 times right next to each other.

#NoteToFutureSelf The recovery partition from #LineageOS ALSO honers the wipe userdata flag when you do "fastboot oem unlock" and had the phone boot into it instead of the normal os.

Lessons learned Nr. 2
LineageOS doing that wipe breaks the Stock ROM for whatever reason and it gets stuck in the boot animation afterwards...
