Jörn FrankeGanz heimlich hat Posteo Login mit Passkeys eingeführt. Ich nutze das natürlich nur mit mindestens zwei registrierten FIDO2 keys (falls einer verloren geht/kaputt geht) - hier sind es die von Nitrokey.
Ich nutze es natürlich NICHT mit Cloud Passkeys!
Musste Sie allerdings mit Chromium registrieren, da Firefox unter Linux herumgezickt hat. Allerdings funktioniert Login mit beiden.

#Oskar@ElGatoOscuro Desde la óptica de la seguridad poco podemos hacer los usuarios. Tratamos de poner barreras, pero al final del día estas son solo estorbos, no impedimentos ni barreras infranqueables.
Servicios como #proton o #posteo (el que yo utilizo), tienen para mi más una finalidad de mantener cierta privacidad (sin los ojos directos de google), que el mantener mi absoluta privacidad, que asumo utópica en la era en la que vivimos.

Also #Proton tracks IP Adresses; So basically it means when you pay via any "Identifiable" Form, use your "own IP Address" or use a Recover Phone/E-Mail, Proton will identify you if they get asked for it. I said it before, and I'll say it again. Services like Proton, #tutanota and #posteo are freaking Honeypots!

Charlotte AtenI've been enjoying using GNOME Evolution as an email client since it was recommended to me on here recently. I do find it strange that it is placed on the «Office» group on the application menu, whereas Thunderbird resides in «Internet». I can't be bothered to change it, though.
I also got a new (hopefully) permanent professional email account with Posteo (https://posteo.de/). I'm happy with this so far, too, except their password system for email client access annoys me. I don't want to store a non-human-memorizable password on my device, since anyone with root access to the device can read my email. I want to enter my chosen password manually each time. That way I won't forget it, either. This is especially tedious, since I have other providers who don't make me do this process, so I have to enter some passwords normally and still unlock my keyring for the Posteo account.
