Yesterday I received a package of new vinyl. It contained two Echocord releases. I admit that I am currently collecting the entire catalogue, so I no longer check ‘what am I ordering’ beforehand, but go by catalogue numbers. So yesterday I put the record on, wow, how cool, I know this one.

Caspar Olevian co-wrote the Heidelberg Catechism. One who has heard of God’s mercy would have “fear” to do anyone wrong, or unjustly oppressed them. God working in us, will make us like Him, and turn us away from all hardness of heart and inhumanity.

Some may have met Christians who seem to teach a hardness of heart. This does not prove Olevian wrong.

How can you reflect on God’s mercy as a motivation to humanity?
