7. I just finished Edda by Snorri Sturluson, translated by Anthony Faulkes

It was wonderful for the first third, which is all mythology. The rest is about Norse poetics, which is tough-going, even for a poet.

I much prefer the Poetic Edda, which contains many of the same stories but in a more enjoyable form
