300 tonnes of russian Ammonium Nitrate dumped in the North Sea off the coast of Yarmouth. Just outside the 12 mile territorial limit so the claim could be made no pollution of English Nationalist waters has been committed. Instead it can be relied on to drift away & pollute Belgian, French, Dutch, Danish & Norwegian waters. Heartily endorsed by Reformtown MP Rupert Lowe as safe & bringing 'jobs'.

#MVRuby left the port of Kandalaksha in Russia in July, carrying 20,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate fertiliser.

But the ship damaged its hull and propeller after it ran aground in bad weather. Lithuania and Sweden refused to allow it to enter their waters, acc to reports.

It is unclear why it was initially allowed to dock at the Norfolk port.

Presumably also, a reason for the issue of a licence by a #Tory trade secretaey relieving this cargo from EU sanctions was muddled political thinking, around not wishing to risk being accused of obstructing transit of "fertiliser" to needy third world states. But this cargo of #ammoniumnitrate represents GDP income to #Putin 's #Russia which is waging war in Ukraine & will expend such income on its war effort. An additional reason might have been sheer #Brexit inspired anti-EU perversity

It appears that the then UK Secretary of State for Trade Kemi #Badenoch granted a licence for #Russian Ammonium Nitrate to transit the UK, notwitstanding sanctions, under 'General Trade Licence' dated 9 November 2022. The licence does not apply "if the specified fertiliser goods are intended for any purpose other than agricultural use". 22% of production IS used for explosives. So how is it known to the UK authorities that it won't be used in Africa, for explosives?
