“Never waste a good crisis” was a phrase attributed to Churchill.

Well maybe #Starmer should play up this side of Churchill.

With #Farage and #Badenoch looking like lemmings who only at the last second realised ‘oh maybe #Trump’s a childish demented moron and this war is financial and electoral suicide’.

Starmer did make the right call, but him being smug won’t keep the rest of us warm or help Labour electorally.

Now is definitely the time for Starmer to push decarbonisation / eco policies.

I asked AI, if there is anything that #Badenoch, #Farage and #Blair all agree on which is not evil or wrong - the only things it came up with were either evil or wrong or both. I even prompted it if maybe they all like pancake, but the AI was not having it https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/09/so-badenoch-farage-and-blair-think-the-iran-war-is-a-great-idea-hmm
So Badenoch, Farage and Blair think the Iran war is a great idea? Hmm …

Kemi may be all in favour, but at least economic realpolitik is forcing her to take a slightly different tack

The Guardian

#Badenoch

"This era of peace has now come to an end"

What kind of monster speaks in such a way!

#Badenoch says her party will vote for #Mahmood's immigration Reform Bill

Because there is no difference between the two parties now

Listening to Kemi #Badenoch ramble on about the UK standing back from Trump's crazy narcissistic world suggests she isn't listening to the UK people. Polls say that 49% oppose #Trump's crazy world! A former NATO senior commander calls Trump & his accolytes 'gung ho nutters' who have 'no idea how this stupidity will end'. Predictably #Farage, a gung ho nutter if I ever saw one, is prepared to follow Trump into a dystopian world of darkness & misery for millions, yet 'loads of money' for the fat cats. It is indeed a nightmare. #RejoinEU #ClimateCrisis #StandwithUkraine

#Badenoch says at #pmqs, "Isn't it the truth that he is prioritising his job security over national security"

[She means not allowing Burnham to run meant Greens were victorious]

#Badenoch makes the point that Starmer reads statements that are pre-prepared at #Pmqs

She does seem to have a point as he moves from defence spending to a list of the current economic situation in a 'shoe horning' sort of way

Starmer shames #Badenoch when he is talking about evacuation plans at #pmqs and she mildly interrupts him allowing him to say, "The country really does want to know this"

#Badenoch asks #Starmer at #Pmqs yesterday, "Why are we asking our allies to do what we should be doing ourselves?"
[ using sovereign British territory to launch offensive strikes at Iran, she means ]

Starmer replies ,"we have been deploying our forces to the region for a number of weeks now"

[How far this is true in light of the HMS Dragon fiasco I am not sure]

He goes on to talk about "multiple jets"

The UK's F-35s in Cyprus is 6 jets. In Qatar, 12 typhoons, which we share

Impressive 🙄

Just watched #Starmer address Conmons. Nothing really new from him - except that he claims it was two separate #Trump requests over the weekend and two separate decisions his government took:

1) to join #US #Israeli attack on Iran - No
2) to allow US to use UK airbases for defensive purposes of allies in the region at risk from indiscriminate attacks from #Iran - Yes

Clear that #Badenoch would have said yes to both in a heartbeat, no consideration for legality of war.
