GL.iNet Mudi 7 specs are out and it's now available for pre-order ($319, down from a $399 price target for general release), to ship in April.

* dual SIM support
* tri-band WiFi 7, 1x 2.5GbE port
* 600Mbps Wireguard and 700Mbps OpenVPN
* USB type-C tethering and OTG
* quad-core Qualcomm CPU
* 2GB RAM and 8GB eMMC
* up to 13.5h battery life and USB-PD fast charge

given that it's a Qualcomm CPU I would not expect mainline OpenWrt support any time real soon, but it will be running GL.iNet's build of OpenWrt + their software, and should have access to most packages available on vanilla OpenWrt.

based on my experiences with #GLiNet I would wait for the firmware to stabilize before buying this, with the expectation that increasing competition in the travel router space will push that $399 price target down over time.

Czujemy powoli, że oswoiliśmy się z odejściem psa Hakera na tyle, że jesteśmy gotowi na nowego (no bo jak tu mieć tylko jednego 🤷‍♂️). Po wielu dyskusjach wahamy się pomiędzy:

a/ puchatym misiem z sercem jak cały wszechświat, który zupełnie nie będzie poddawał się szkoleniu poza podstawowym posłuszeństwem, #malamute (love 🥰)

b/ zupełnie nieznaną nam rasą, która z jakiegoś powodu bardzo nas ujęła, nieduży (jak dla nas) piesek z ogromną pasją i ochotą do treningów, #mudi

So i ordered a Mudi v2 from GL-iNet in Hong Kong. The factory plastic wrap on the packaging was opened and the plastic sleeve of the device too, the device itself has a scratch.
