A wild #MongooseTraveller story from tonight, as told through the text I just sent my gf:
They had no idea if they were gonna kill this rich duke or not going into today. W's character drags the duke underwater, immediately dying to these dangerous croc creatures and leaving the duke cornered. D's character tries to shoot duke but misses. J's character turns on D's character. Y's character obscures the whole thing to let the duke die underwater.

When I first read the Solomani aliens book, as a teen in the mid 80s, I was not sure what I was going to find. I was pretty naive and sheltered, being a white RPG gamer in the US in the pre-web era, so some of the implications did not land. Based on previous experience, I expected the “evil supremacists” Imperium-view to be softened *somehow*.
