MegaLights are live in Fortnite now! Epic has not officially mentioned it, but in today's video I'll show you why I'm pretty sure they are already active today

Fortnite Got A Secret Lighting Upgrade

I'm going to try this prediction again 😅

I think we will see the first game utilizing MegaLights in production very soon! Epic just released UE 5.7 bringing the feature from expiremental to beta. And where do they test new features? In Fortnite…

Chapter 7 should begin around November 30th. And for PS5 (base) or better hardware expect glowing surfaces all around the island to show off what this new lighting system can do

I think I might have been right! It looks like #MegaLights may be live in #Fortnite now when you go to the Winterfest cabin.

Click on the neon llama above the fireplace and watch the lighting change. Note the lights on the tree affecting the tree's lighting. And also the TV image we see cast upon the characters on the couch (I won't spoil who)

This was on a PS5 Pro, not sure if available on the base model or elsewhere. If you have a PC with hardware ray tracing enabled, you should see it. #ue5

We might see the first shipping game to use Unreal's Mega Lights this weekend. Fortnite Chapter 6 will most likely be running off UE 5.5 or newer code, and they have used "experimental" features there before. Remember, this is Epic's showcase game, the only one they make.

I also expect the difference between PS5 and PS5 Pro to become more pronounced with the new chapter, with hardware Lumen being enabled on the consoles finally

And there's the catch.
Unreal's new Megalights do this thing where they fill in slowly when the come on screen. It only happens near the edge of the lights where its dimmest, but its still very obvious.
