Now still, my Twitter list is much better curated than my list on Mastodon.
But... when I see how far I got in two months on Mastodon, where it took me 10 years on Twitter, I am confident investing in this place will be worth it.

For example, news organizations could pay for their own instance and people interested primarily in news could create accounts there. I recall that someone was interested in setting up an instance for unions and organized labor. Imagine a portion of union dues going towards their Masto instance. Maybe a music based instance? For example, should I hashtag #hashtags in this message? What about #awkward? Or, if I'm feeling particularly shameless, what about #psychology, #fedithoughts, #mastothoughts?
