I have been in hospital since Tuesday and I haven't started on the drawing and painting journal you sent me. I was gonna start on them. And then the cake in the mug one, I was supposed to try it over the holidays but wasn't able to cos things had been crazy for me. 😭

Harvested 1.3kg of carrots yesterday. The variety was Paris Market garden and they are meant to be small but that means they take grow fast and produce more harvests in a year. I’ve already planted new seed in the bed for the next round. We’re still experimenting to see which variety will work best for us. I’ve got Copenhagen and finger carrots in the ground, due to harvest late February, and just now, I’ve planted rainbow carrots and Berlicum carrots gifted by mine and @SimonCHulse’s santas from #SecretSantaAoNZ thanks guys! These are due to harvest in March and I will update you as they grow and when we plant the other seeds.

1.3kg was from 2000 seeds and approx 1.5sm of space. We use aprox 2-3kg of carrots per month ̄ so I need to about double this. Not something I have a problem with.

I just got home from a week and a half on holiday to find a copy of my #SecretSantaAoNZ letter that had some edits applied and an extra gift for the kids! Thank you Santa, it wasn’t necessary but I’m sure the kids will like.
