Olly WomumpI went on a #BikeTooter shopping trip earlier, to #Waitrose* in #Cowbridge (ikr) on my #TourDeFer. The purpose of the trip was to obtain wedding anniversary flowers (thanks), and parked next to this old skool #Dawes #SuperGalaxy. The owner appeared and we had a happy 20 minutes complimenting each other on tyres (#Shwalbe #MarathonPlus) and comparing notes on gears and brakes. His were centre-pull.

I ride #MarathonPlus since I discovered their availability for the Brompton's rather exotic 16×1.35 size. Didn't notice their extra weight, but I did notice that their rolling resistance is a bit higher. Can't remember any flat since then.
Currently trying out Continental Contact Urban on my second Brompton as an alternative with seemingly less rolling resistance. Haven't ridden enough with it yet, though.

He's building his daughter some stilts and needed an old tyre for the feet of the stilts. I offered him a selection and he took an old #Schwalbe #MarathonPlus (a.k.a. bombproof).
