Spent the morning on a chilled wander from Wilne Lane car park in Shardlow to Aston Lock and back. A quiet bit of the Trent and Mersey canal, took the old LX-3 out and the battery just lasted the walk so I'll need to get a replacement in.

I love these weird Celosia flowers that look like fuzzy brains. πŸ˜€ They're often in very bright colors, but in editing, I realized that a black and white look really emphasizes the texture of the fuzzy "brain" and its particularly spiky leaves.

I used to say that tulips are one of my favorite flowers (lantanas are probably my absolute favorite), but I forgot about dahlias. I think dahlias are second favorite, tulips, third. πŸ˜€ Look at how perfectly round this bloom is!
