Leo Express will open a ticket counter at Warsaw West on Sunday, March 1, along with the launch of their Warsaw offer. What's that? Leo Express is apparently not just promising but already selling tickets (without seat reservation) for a train (overnight westwards) (Przemyśl-Katowice-)Ostrava-Prague-Dresden-Leipzig-Erfurt-Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen (also calling at Süd), daily, but with service to/from Przemyśl only 5 days a week.
Kinda weird, but whatever floats their boat, not gonna say no to more trains

The open access flood gates appear to be well and truly open here now - #LeoExpress just announced its own Poland offer, set to launch March 2026. It's unsurprisingly rather more modest than RegioJet's plans - two pairs Prague-Kraków-Warsaw (one overnight) plus another terminating in Kraków (and yet another Kraków one on weekends). They were even bold enough to post expected timings.

Die ersten 10 Stunden meines heutigen #CrossBorderRail Projektes von Hamburg nach Košice habe ich schon hinter mir.

Wer meine #bahn Geschichten kennt wird jetzt schon Übles vermuten, aber bisher läuft es erfreulich unaufgeregt.

Das Umsteigen in Pardubice war das einzige Mal, dass der Blutdruck etwas stieg, aber dank der Verspätung des Anschlusszuges wurde auch das gemeistert.

Das Ticket für die 8 Stunden Zugfahrt auf der zweiten Hälfte kostet nur ein Bruchteil der ersten 8 Stunden und kommt dazu auch mit kostenlosem Essen und Getränken.

Aber auch der ungarische Speisewagen als Bestandteil eines tschechischen Zuges war nicht schlecht.

Drückt die Daumen für die restliche Strecke.
