WTF?!? Hipkins just led your party to its worst landslide defeat in decades. As I've pointed out here before, Cunliffe was pressured into resigning after lifting the Labour vote almost as much as Hipkins lowered it. Why the hell would you want Hipkins to carry on as leader?

The irony is that #LabourNZ has essentially conceded all economic discussion to the right, producing economic policy that #NZNational would be proud of. Yet they lose elections because voters "feel" like National are "better with money" despite evidence to the contrary #nzpol

@Br3nda I doubt it will last if does at all. This GST change, on top of the uninspiring tunnel obsessed transport announcements (to Mangere and North Shore), is a no from me. Complicates a tax system with no mechanism to ensure the resulting change will end up in people's pockets. #nzpol #LabourNZ
