Shantara@Annevelink_AD @anderspuck While the sentiment is appreciated, #kymeta capabilities are not close enough to be a #starlink replacement, and least yet. They don’t have any satellites of their own, and instead are offering their proprietary antennas for secure connections through Inmarsat satellites. Those offer too low bandwidth and too high latency to be used to provide realtime drone video feeds, which Ukrainians are relying on.
Alastair Bor 🇦🇺Hmmm... Hadn't heard of #kymeta before (no surprise since the coverage map excludes #australia) but always glad to see increased competition in any industry. With #Starlink subject to the whims of #ElonMusk - it doesn't seem like a reliable strategic partner.
