#FotoVorschlag: Dinge, die mit K beginnen // Things that start with K

// #KnolePark and #Knole House in Kent. As one of the largest houses in #England with around 400 rooms, it has been an Archbishop's #palace, a Royal #residence, a family home for the #Sackville family (13 generations and counting), a #NationalTrust country house, and a filming location. The art collections are legendary, although we only took a lovely spring walk in the #deerPark.

On the theme of #deer, this is a #photograph I took on Christmas Eve 2015 at St Edmund King and Martyr #Church, West Kingsdown, #Kent

Perhaps the parishioners were in the process of creating an imitation of the not-so-distant #Knole medieval deer park? 🤔

The image I'm using at present for my header is a #photograph I took at #Knole in July 2016.

Knole’s #medieval #deer park is the last of its kind in #Kent. The park was created in 1456 when Archbishop Bourchier first enclosed the area with a fence to make a park for deer hunting. Fallow deer have freely roamed the parkland ever since. [Source: #NationalTrust's description]
