“No matter how busy they may be, a word of complaint never passes their lips.”

Currently re-reading Ven. Master Hsing Yun’s commentary on the Sumati Sutra. I can’t help but smile at how much living at Fo Guang Shan has shaped so much of my behavior since 2011.

It’s been very busy the past few weeks and there were times that I might have complained (?) subtly. Reading this commentary reminded me of the proper attitude towards work and life.

Omitofo! 🙏🙂

@gwynnion I see #VoteBlue as important advice along the lines of #KeepBreathing. It’s something we should do, because if you don’t, bad things WILL happen. But it’s not ENOUGH. It’s just a bare minimum—a baseline to get you to other things.

Tomorrow will be a big day for me as I am heading back to the rush and tumble of the workplace after being signed off with anxiety and depression a while back.

I have been supported by some really understanding GPs and NHS staff and I am still learning that I have to be honest with my feelings & emotions.

Although not a pleasant experience, I have learned much about myself over the last few weeks.

I still have a way to go, but I'm getting there. 🙂

I really liked Keep Breathing. Melissa Barrera is really good as basically the only character this series follows. She is Liv, a woman who survives a plane crash in the middle of nowhere, then has to keep surviving.

I like that each episode is a bit different. I also like that Liv is not portrayed as some sort of survival expert or that the risks and problems are played down. Liv is just a resourceful, determined woman but like any city person she doesn't know what she's doing out there.

What makes the series different from just that idea of survival, is that they keep tying it back to life before the accident and to her youth.
