Construction of the Bini Hesar-Stanzkzi Connector Road Continues

Work on the connector road from the Bini Hesar area to the Stanzkzi intersection is underway within District Eight, and efforts are being made to complete and commission this project within the next four months.

The road, designed with a length of 1655 meters and a width of 40 meters, includes sidewalks, flowerbeds, bicycle lanes, overpasses, the installation of lighting poles and fixtures, road markings, and other standard components of a modern roadway.

Officials from the Kabul Municipality’s Department for Planning and Projects are conducting continuous technical and engineering oversight to ensure quality work and adherence to the established timeline.

It is worth noting that construction of the connector road from the Stanzkzi intersection to Begrami also continues, and after preparing the remaining sections, asphalt paving will be carried out.

Upon completion of these projects, the Kabul-Logar highway will connect to the Begrami Road, providing significant ease for vehicle traffic and citizen mobility.

These projects represent a crucial step towards developing transportation infrastructure and modernizing Kabul’s road network.

ساخت سرک اتصالی بینی‌حصار الی چهارراهی ستانکزی ادامه دارد

کار ساخت سرک اتصالی ساحهٔ بینی‌حصار الی چهارراهی ستانکزی، در مربوطات ناحیهٔ هشتم جریان دارد و تلاش می‌شود تا این پروژه طی چهار ماه آینده تکمیل و به بهره‌برداری سپرده شود.

این سرک به‌طول ۱۶۵۵ متر و عرض ۴۰ متر طراحی گردیده و شامل اعمار پیاده‌روها، گلدان‌ها، خطوط ویژهٔ بایسکل‌رانی، پلچک‌ها، نصب پایه‌ها و چراغ‌های تنویر، خط‌اندازی جاده و سایر اجزای معیاری یک سرک مدرن می‌باشد.

مسئولان ریاست تنظیم برنامه‌ها و پروژه‌های شاروالی کابل به‌منظور تضمین کیفیت بهتر کار و تطبیق پروژه مطابق زمان تعیین‌شده، نظارت‌های تخنیکی و فنی خویش را به‌گونهٔ دوام‌دار انجام می‌دهند.

قابل یادآوری است که کار ساخت سرک اتصالی چهارراهی ستانکزی الی بگرامی نیز ادامه دارد و پس از آماده‌سازی بخش‌های باقی‌مانده، مراحل قیرریزی آن اجرا خواهد شد.

با تکمیل این پروژه‌ها، مسیر سرک کابل–لوگر به سرک بگرامی وصل گردیده و سهولت‌های قابل ملاحظه‌ای در رفت‌وآمد وسایط و تردد شهروندان فراهم خواهد شد.

این پروژه‌ها گام مؤثری در راستای توسعهٔ زیربناهای ترانسپورتی و مدرن‌سازی شبکهٔ سرک‌های شهر کابل به‌شمار می‌روند.

The General Assessment Authority has announced that the final (fourth) phase of the general entrance examination for the year 1405 will be conducted in Kabul during the current week.

Urban Redevelopment Project to Be Implemented in Zorabad Area of Sarai Shamali

As part of efforts to transform unplanned areas into planned areas, the Urban Planning and Redevelopment Directorate of Kabul Municipality has initiated a technical survey for the preparation of a cadastral plan in the Zorabad area of Sarai Shamali, located in Section 7B of District 4.

One of Kabul Municipality’s urban redevelopment projects is planned for implementation in this area, covering approximately 74.35 acres of land.

In accordance with modern urban standards, Kabul Municipality aims to develop new residential areas, convert unplanned areas into planned areas, and promote sustainable urban development. To achieve these goals, the municipality intends to apply modern approaches such as land readjustment and urban redevelopment rather than relying on land acquisition.

Land readjustment and urban redevelopment are regarded as effective mechanisms that can serve as appropriate alternatives to land acquisition in the planning and expansion of Kabul City.

The Urban Planning and Redevelopment Directorate also plans to include unplanned areas located within the city’s master plan in future development projects through these approaches. Following the preparation of the necessary technical plans, several development initiatives are expected to be implemented in different parts of the city.

The survey and cadastral planning process for the area is expected to be completed soon in coordination with the District 4 administration, while practical implementation of the project will begin after the development plan is finalized and approved.

## Champions of Cleanliness: Present Even Amidst the City's Festivities on Eid

Eid al-Fitr is a day of joy, brotherhood, and social unity. Fortunately, throughout Afghanistan, and particularly in Kabul, Eid was observed in an atmosphere of security, allowing residents to celebrate with their families without fear.

During these blessed days, people performed sacrifices and followed the path of Abraham (peace be upon him). Behind this joy were those who worked tirelessly day and night, dedicated to maintaining the city’s cleanliness and order.

Kabul Municipality's sanitation workers made remarkable efforts during Eid al-Fitr nights and days this year. As a result of their unwavering efforts, 4,653 tons of waste were collected from various parts of Kabul city and transported to designated locations. This significant achievement not only demonstrates the dedication and professional responsibility of the sanitation workers but also serves as an example of the effectiveness of municipal services.

The volume of waste naturally increases during Eid days due to sacrifices, hospitality, and other social activities, which inevitably leads to environmental pollution. However, thanks to the beneficial efforts of the sanitation workers and the cooperation of residents, cleanliness and order were largely preserved throughout Kabul.

It is a source of joy that Kabul residents demonstrated improved collaboration in maintaining the city's cleanliness during these Eid nights and days. Residents generally disposed of waste from slaughtered animals at designated locations, paid attention to civic principles and regulations, and fulfilled their urban responsibilities regarding the preservation of public property. This assistance demonstrates that building a clean and healthy city is not solely the responsibility of Kabul Municipality but a shared task for all residents.

It is fitting that as Eid concludes, appreciation be extended to the sanitation workers for their labor and dedication. Despite holidays, fatigue, and numerous challenges, they have continued their work to keep the city clean and played a vital role in preserving Kabul’s beauty and cleanliness.

A clean city reflects a progressive society. If the efforts of Kabul Municipality and the cooperation of residents continue, then Kabul will remain a clean, orderly, and livable city not only during Eid but every day of the year.

The Strategic Studies Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that detailed discussions were held alongside the second Termez meeting between the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and research centers of Central Asia regarding the establishment of a forum for think tanks of Afghanistan and Central Asia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate’s Center for Strategic Studies has stated that discussions at the second Termez Dialogue were largely focused on economic connectivity between Central and South Asia via Afghanistan.

The center wrote on its X platform that the second Termez Dialogue was attended by approximately 200 representatives from over forty countries and ten international and regional organizations.

According to the source, on the sidelines of the meeting, Afghan officials held detailed discussions with research centers from Central Asian countries regarding a forum for Afghanistan-Central Asia study centers, with plans to hold the forum in Kabul on June 16th.

It is noteworthy that Zakir Jalaly, Deputy Head of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representing the Center for Strategic Studies, along with Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Ghuncha Gul Arman, participated in the second Termez Dialogue on behalf of the Islamic Emirate.
