National Afghan Red Month rescue teams have begun rescuing those affected and providing emergency assistance in the Zirano and Alfatah areas of Jalalabad city, Nangarhar province, due to #heavy rainfall.

Rescue teams have reached the affected areas and are relocating affected citizens to safe locations.

Similar services have also been provided to those affected by the rains in #Herat, #Kandahar, #Nimroz, #Helmand, and #Arghandab provinces.

The Ministry of National Defense has stated that Afghan Air Force personnel last night evacuated a woman in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province who was suffering from a serious congenital illness. Due to flooding and blocked roads, she was urgently transferred to a hospital.

The Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, while sharing this video, stated that the Afghan National Army forces, alongside their fundamental duties, are also playing an effective role in the rescue and service of the people.

The Ghazni Police Command has stated that the incident occurred today, Saturday, on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in the Qarabagh district due to a bus with 580 passengers overturning.

The Police Command stated that two people were killed and thirteen others were injured in the incident.

Sources added that the passenger bus overturned due to flash floods, and a child has gone missing, with search efforts currently underway.
