Era il 2019 quando una bambina di 7 anni morì nella chiesa dell’Educandato Uccellis a Udine dopo essere stata colpita al torace da un’acquasantiera caduta durante una lezione di religione. Oggi, dopo che nel 2023 la sentenza di primo grado lo aveva condannato a 2 anni e 4 mesi per omicidio colposo, è stato assolto dalla Corte d’Appello di Trieste il sacerdote e docente di religione Ioan Marginean Cocis. È stata inoltre confermata l’assoluzione – già decisa in primo grado – della dirigente scolastica Anna Maria Zilli, .
Poiché la piccola Penelope Cossaro stava partecipando a un’attività extrascolastica erano stati indagati l’allora dirigente scolastica e il direttore spirituale dell’istituto religioso per negligenza e imprudenza nella vigilanza sulla sicurezza e incolumità dell’allieva.
Per Laura Libanetti, la madre della piccola, la decisione è “vergognosa“: “Per la giustizia italiana nessuno è responsabile della morte di mia figlia. L’ho lasciata in una scuola e non è più tornata a casa. La donna ha auspicato un eventuale ricorso in Cassazione da parte della Procura, dal momento che la famiglia non si è costituita parte civile nell’appello ma ha scelto la via del processo civile per il risarcimento. La prima udienza è fissata per domani.

Four police officers, belonging to the commissariats of Rome Esquilino and Celio, have been placed under house arrest, and another two, from the Viminale commissariat, have been suspended from duty by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office. The six are accused, to varying degrees, of kidnapping, assault, defamation, aiding and abetting, and ideological fraud.
According to La Repubblica and Roma Today, they allegedly beat, detained in a commissariat, and then produced false reports against a Cuban citizen who reported the incident on the evening of August 27th.
The man was located not far from Termini Station, on Via Gioberti. Here, according to the two news sources, he was stopped by four police officers, two from Celio and two from Esquilino, who showed him his documents. However, this check, without apparent reason, according to videos acquired by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office, degenerates: the officers punch him and even slap him. Then, the man is handcuffed and taken to the patrol car, to the Viminale commissariat. Here, according to reconstructions, the Cuban attempts to avoid arrest and is struck again, even with a punch to the face that opens his eyebrow. Taken to the hospital, he then reports everything, and a dislocation of a finger and a wound to the eyebrow are diagnosed.
However, according to the reports, the injuries were not caused by the beating but the man caused them himself, by moving around. A conflicting version that prompted the Public Prosecutor’s Office to focus not only on the alleged punches but also on the alleged manipulation of the reports in which a false resistance to public officials was recounted.
On Friday, the six police officers, defended by lawyers Carlo Testa Piccolomini and Luca Rossi, Repubblica reports, will appear before Judge for Preliminary Investigations Paolo Scotto Di Luzio for the preliminary interrogations.
Meanwhile, Senator Ilaria Cucchi, brother of Stefano, has informed Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi of the case. “The Cuban citizen, suffering from the beatings sustained following the police check at Termini Station in Rome, sustained injuries deemed curable in 18 days. The 0-100 km/h sprint is covered in 2.5 seconds, 0-200 in 6.8 seconds, while the top speed exceeds 310 km/h. The vehicle will be sold at a list price of €550,000 and the first deliveries are expected for the end of 2026. The starting price is “well above that of the most expensive model currently in the Ferrari range (Testarossa at €460,000) and significantly higher than the average selling price of Ferrari for the first quarter of 2026, which is €453,000. We predict that the Luce will remain a niche offer within the range, representing about 1% of total volumes,” explained analysts at Mediobanca.
In addition to the price and niche positioning theme, some analysts also highlight the issue of design, which deviates from the traditional canons of the Prancing Horse. Bloomberg reported the observations of Oddo Bhf analysts, according to which the initial reactions “were largely negative among the most passionate Ferrari fans, due to concerns about the departure from the brand’s tradition.”
John Elkann, however, holds a different opinion, stating: “Ferrari Luce is a car of the future, and uniquely Ferrari. Luce reaffirms what has always characterized this company: the courage to redefine the limits of the possible. Ferrari Luce required a new creative perspective. And that’s exactly what LoveFrom brought. Working together with Maranello and San Francisco, on a new design language defined by purity, we created a car that looks to the future with confidence” explained Elkann.
