Google is discontinuing its fantastic Jambaord app, and I've been searching around for some replacements. My colleague Amanda Fenton has made a great video about the new Padlet Sandbox app and how it compares to Jamboard.

With Google winding down #Jamboard I'm going to have to find an alternative way of entertaining myself during my online lessons (or games of Pictionary, as they always seem to end up).
Has anyone else successfully explored Jamboard alternatives? #Miro looks quite good.
@protonprivacy As noted by https://KilledByGoogle.com, this makes 59 apps, 211 services, and 23 hardware products dead by #Googleβs rainbow-colored hands. (And counting: next on the chopping block is the #Jamboard app and device)
If they canβt slap #advertising on it or direct you somewhere else that can, it wonβt last.
A reminder that Jamboard is closing Oct/Dec 2024.
Looking at Mastodon posts, it seems that the only people sad to see it go will be the schools that bought into the paid versions.
As I only have 2 files, one from the @gfsc UnTechCon and one test I did for myself, I probably won't miss it either.
