New #preprint from PhD Student Sharon Chi Tak Lee. How useful are **cross-sectional** network metrics in predicting treatment response in depression? In >40,000 patients receiving #iCBT, we conclude not that much. We can replicate an association, but effect sizes are v. small and... effects are entirely explained by the baseline variance of symptoms https://bit.ly/3ZeK286 #network #psychiatry #cbt

This simplified model helps you understand the brain elevator where you go "downstairs" with stress.

Under stress you can't question your beliefs so well.

The cool thing is, that you can go actively "upstairs" within minutes by applying proper relaxation techniques.

My favorite one is the #XProcess which integrates well known techniques like #Tapping (eg #EFT) and #PatternInterrupt.

This way, modern #iCBT integrates recent discoveries to improve reconditioning of adverse behavior.
