As we do about this time every year, the small Hungarian community celebrated, at the Hungarian Garden here in the capital, March 15, the national day in Hungary marking the country's fight for independence in 1848. Wreaths were laid by the Hungarian Ambassador and by a representative of our local Hungarian community. After a short speech and the singing of both countries' anthems, we remain to chat and share some Hungarian home baking. Very pleasant in this calm autumn weather.
