US President Donald Trump called Viktor Orban on Monday following talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and European leaders to discuss why the Hungarian prime minister was blocking Ukraine’s accession talks with the European Union.
With war in the east, so many are unaware of just how close we are to another war starting in the heart of Europe.
We are “Franz Ferdinand getting in the car, ready for a nice little drive” — levels close to a repeat of the 1990s. With the Bosnia and Herzegovina government having an arrest warrant out for the now banned leader of Republika Srpska, Radovan Karadžić, who has effective control over huge parts of the country with thousands of military-gear armed police.
Orban has just sent plain-clothes mercenaries on behalf of Putin to spread chaos and discontent, similar to the hybrid-warfare approach used repeatedly against Ukraine before the full invasion. This leaves peace-keeping troops (UN) out-gunned at more than 6:1 by “private police”.
And of course, Karadžić is a frequent visitor and outspoken supporter of the Kremlin.
Twist: They want secession to Serbia, who have most likely been arming them as well.
