YES.
I was a fixture of the open-mike poetry scene in the 1990s. One time, I was reading a sonnet I'd done, and a friend approached me who was one of the editors for a poetry anthology that was a tribute to Edgar Allen Poe. He asked if I'd like to have that poem in the book. I said sure.
And that is how my work ended up in the same book as a poem by @neilhimself. The book's long out of print, but I got him to sign my copy.
