I write stuff and draw flowers. Send your mailing address to [email protected] to get a one-of-kind, hand-drawn flower sent to you at no charge. I go by she and her.

#WordWeavers 10/22 - Does your MC enjoy gossip?

Well, let me tell you, Christophina got sick of celebrity gossip right quick when she started dating Ethan.

#WordWeavers 10/21 - Does your MC value family or friends more?

Family, absolutely. She's been let down by so many friends she's very leery of forming new friendships. It is, on a subliminal level, why she expects Ethan to leave her at any moment.

#WordWeavers 10/20 - Share something you like and dislike about your first drafts.

The bulk of my novels are #NaNoWriMo drafts and all of the completed ones were a joy to write overall. I have so much fun doing them.

The editing is less fun because I have to confront all the continuity errors and the sentences that could be interoffice memos for The Department of Redundancy Department.

#WordWeavers 10/18 - How money-savvy is your MC?

Christophina was born into a solidly middle-class family but when her father died they got knocked down a few notches on the income scale. From that, she learned that what you have can be taken away at any time. Because of this, she is very thrifty, but she allows herself the occasional splurge. Though for her, a bottle of wine above 25 credits (about $10) is a splurge.

#WordWeavers 10/17 - If you could give life to one of your characters, who would it be and why?

I'd bring Christophina's father back from the dead. Bringing any character into this world is just too horrifying to contemplate.

Free emergency healthcare does tend to create the 'frequent flier' class of patient. On one of my visits to the AU i overheard "Murphy's in again, I've put him in six"
"The usual cow kick?"
"Yep, ribs this time"
"Fine, he can wait until John's back. I can't do this again."

#WordWeavers 10/16 - Line day: share a description of a place in your WIP.

The rink is not large, but it’s enough to skate in circles or do a decent-sized figure eight. It’s surrounded by evergreen trees that smell real, and might actually be real. A pale, blue glow lights the ice up from within.

#WordWeavers 10/15 - Do you make any effort to make or avoid alliteration?

I can't think of a single time I used alliteration without a school assignment involved. I find it childish. If it crops up in my writing, I purge it immediately.

My List of Demands for NaNoWriMo

Dear NaNoWriMo.org-- I'd already planned to skip National Novel Writing Month this year, in part so I can devote my time to getting a novel...

#WordWeavers 10/11 - What sounds could help your MC feel better?

The music of The Infinite Suns.
