Estuary only exposes the ability to create "Smart Playlists" (select a genre and it'll make a list of 10-100 films): which may be one of the most infantilizing design decisions of all time.
Otherwise one of the better media players out there.

Lilith SilversteinMy and my husband's HTPC has some games that aren't starting up anymore on it. I'm going to make time today to fix them so we aren't just stuck playing Mario Kart 8. It's a box I built back in 2015 with Debian as the distro, Kodi as the frontend, with the lutris addon to run games straight from Kodi. I am not looking forward to looking for a lutris replacement when it comes time to do a code name upgrade for debian, since the version of lutris included there will be partially slop.

Back in ~2004 my dad built a Home Theatre PC: because he decided that the ability to record free-to-air TV broadcasts and watch DVDs on the same device was more important than paying big bucks for some advertising-infested cable/satellite package.
Microsoft's fancy "Media Center" interface was just an application on top of standard desktop OS, which meant that I could that very same computer to play videogames or browse the internet.
Nowadays he's the kinda rube who pays for three different streaming video services, and accesses them through an Android TV box to satisfy their DRM overlords.
