Next-gen #homlab testbench update:
I'm *extremely* proud or this kludgy mess of an RTX A2000 with an externally bolstered-on 40mm Noctua fan (even if the deshrouded GPU+60mm fan was actually performing much better).
The 60mm fan could actually keep the A2000 from throttling through an entire 10min real-life gaming benchmark run (#FFXIV Shadowbringers benchmark) and was on-par with the stock setup in result, while the 40mm fan actually thermal-throttled halfway through. That said, both configs were virtually silent and the fan noise was completely inaudible even at full blast!
Getting all this to go fully passive will be tough, despite the 70W TDP the A2000 chip runs mighty hot, but the RAM goes even hotter, the RAM chips can withstand 130°C and thermal throttle at 105°C
